I get "Workshop version mismatch" when joining my Project Zomboid server

You can quickly force your Project Zomboid server to check for updates on its installed Steam Workshop content.

Update Server Workshop Items

  1. Go to the AleForge Panel
  2. Head to Console and Stop the server
  3. Open the File Manager
  4. Navigate to steamapps/workshop
  5. Delete the file appworkshop_108600.acf
  6. Open the Console page and Start the server

Once you boot the server, it will go through all the workshop items and check for updates. Depending on the number of mods installed, this may take several minutes.

Update Client Side Workshop Items

  1. Open the Project Zomboid Steam Workshop
  2. Click the Browse dropdown and select Subscribed Items
  3. Once the page loads, click on Unsubscribe From All
  4. Next launch Project Zomboid on your computer
  5. Connect to your AleForge server

Steam should automatically download all the appropriate mods from the Steam Workshop to your computer, including all the mods that were not updated previously.
