How do I connect to a Starbound server?

To connect to your Starbound server, please follow the steps below to locate all the necessary information.

  1. Open the AleForge Panel and select your Starbound server
  2. If your server is new, open the Console page and restart the server. If the server is not in the running state please start the server and reboot your Starbound server so the necessary files can be created
  3. Next, open the Network page from the left-hand navigation to get your IP address. You can also use the hostname from the console page. This should look something like va1.aleforge.net:12345
  4. Look for your primary Port on the Network page. This is the port you will need to connect with

In this example, the port is 25566

  1. Launch Starbound and click Join Server
  2. In the Server Address input your hostname or IP address
  3. In the port field enter the Query Port from the Startup page
