How to Reset Your Don't Starve Together World

It is expected to reset your Don’t Starve Together Forest or Caves world for many reasons. Sometimes, you need to change world generation settings, such as the world size, and other times, you want to start over again. The guide below will walk you through resetting your Forest and Cave shards on AleForge Hosting.

Resetting the Forest and Cave World

Completing the steps below will delete your save data. If you want to keep this data, make a backup from the Backups page in the panel before following this guide.

  1. Open the panel and select your Don’t Starve Together Server
  2. Stop your server from the Console page (You can also issue the stop command from the status bar in the panel)
  3. Open the Startup page from the left-hand navigation menu
  4. Toggle RESET WORLD to on (the icon will be blue with the white dot to the right)
  5. Navigate to the Settings page and click Reinstall Server
  6. Wait for the reinstall to complete
  7. Open the Startup page again
  8. Toggle RESET WORLD to off (the icon will be grey with the white dot to the left)

Congratulations, your Don’t Starve Together world has been reset, and a new world will be generated the next time you start your server.
