How do I connect to my Vintage Story server?

This guide will walk you through connecting to your Vintage Story server.

To connect to your server, you’ll need to find the hostname/IP and port

that your server is running on.

AleForge Customers

If you’re an AleForge customer, you can find this on the Dashboard page of the Blacksmith’s Portal

In this example, you can just copy the hostname line to connect to your server

Self-Hosting

If you’re self-hosting, you can get your IP address using a website such as WhatIsMyIP. The port to use will be determined by whichever port you configured in your router/firewall for your server.

Connecting to your server

  1. Open Vintage Story
  2. Go to Multiplayer
  3. Enter the address of your server
  4. Click Connect

You will now begin connecting to your server!
