How to Change Terraria Server Type

It is simple to change your Terraria server type between all of the available server software:

  • Terraria Vanilla
  • tShock
  • tModloader
  • tModlaoder x64

To change your server to a different type follow these steps:

  1. Go to the AleForge Panel
  2. Stop your server
  3. Open the Backup page and create a new backup if there is data you do not want to possibly lose
  4. Open Game Swap and pick your server type. Confirm your choice when prompted
  5. Open the Settings page and click Reinstall Server
  6. Wait for the installation to complete
  7. Open the Startup page to make sure all your settings are set correctly
  8. Open the Console page and start the server
