How to Upload My Server.ini for Project Zomboid

If you used to have your Project Zomboid server hosted somewhere else or on your own computer, you’ll need to adjust some settings in your configuration file to get your server up and running. The steps below will guide you through making these changes.

Uploading your Server.ini

  1. Open Startup and make a note of your UDP port and your primary port shown on the Dashboard
  2. Open the File Manager
  3. Navigate to .cache/Server
  4. Drag and drop to upload your server.ini
  5. Click the server.ini you uploaded to edit
  6. Find the line that says DefaultPort=
  7. Set this port to your server’s primary port
  8. Find the line that says UDPPort=
  9. Set this to the UDP Port listed on the Startup page
  10. Open the Startup page
  11. Change INTERNAL SAVE NAME to the name of your .ini file
  12. Restart your server to pick up the new changes
