How to Install a Data Pack for Minecraft: Java Edition

Installing the Data Pack

To install a Data Pack on your server, you will need to generate a world and to download some Data Packs.

If you are installing a Data Pack that changes world generation, you should create a single-player world with that Data Pack and [upload it to the server instead.](https://help.aleforge.net/article/115-how-do-i-upload-my-world-to- my-minecraft-java-edition-server)

Uploading the Data Pack

  1. Go to the AleForge Panel
  2. Go to the Console page and shut down your server
  3. Now, download your Data Pack. It should be a .zip file
  4. Go to the File Manager section of the panel
  5. Click on your world folder. By default, it is named world
  6. Click on datapacks folder.
  7. If you do not see this folder, you can create one with the Create Directory button
  8. Upload your .zip file here

  1. Now you can restart your server.
  2. Once your server is started, you can use /datapack list enabled to verify that the Data Pack is enabled.
