Creating or Uploading a Satisfactory World

In this article, we will walk you through getting a save file setup with your Satisfactory server.

Creating a New World

  1. Connect to your server from the Satisfactory client. For directions on how to connect follow this guide.
  2. From the server management page click Create Game
  3. Choose your starting area from Grass Fields, Rocky Desert, Northern Forest, and Dune Desert. For new players, we recommend Grass Fields.
  4. Enter a Session name which will be the name of your world and save file.
  5. Wait for the server to create the world.
  6. Open the Status page and click Join to connect to your server.

Uploading an Existing World Using Satisfactory Client

  1. Connect to your server from the Satisfactory client. For directions on how to connect follow this guide.
  2. Click Manage Saves
  3. Next Select Upload Save
  4. Choose your save file to upload to the server.
  5. Click Upload Game and then confirm you want to upload this save file
  6. Click the Manage Saves tab and then Load Save
  7. Select the world you uploaded and choose Load Game
  8. Wait for the server to load the world. You may be disconnected and have to reconnect to the server.
  9. Open the Status page and click Join to connect to your server and enjoy.

Uploading an Existing World Via AleForge Panel

  1. On Windows open File Explorer and paste in %LocalAppData%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames in the nav bar at the top.

  1. Find your world and open the folder. Most likely it will be a random string of numbers.
  2. Go to the AleForge Panel
  3. Open File Manager
  4. Navigate to /home/container/.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/server If the server folder does not exist click Create Directory and name it server
  5. Click and drag your latest save file to the server folder
  6. Wait for the save to upload
  7. Launch Satisfactory and connect to your server management panel. For directions on how to connect follow this guide.
  8. Click the Manage Saves tab and then Load Save
  9. Select the world you uploaded and choose Load Game
  10. Wait for the server to load the world. You may be disconnected and have to reconnect to the server.
  11. Open the Status page and click Join to connect to your server and enjoy.
