How do I use a randomly generated world with 7 Days To Die?

If you’re sick of playing on Navezgane, you can generate a random world to play 7 Days To Die on. Here’s how you can generate one.

Generating A Random World

Using the Blacksmith’s Portal

  1. Open the Blacksmith’s Portal
  2. Go to Startup
  3. Set World Map to RWG (Random World Generation)

  1. Optionally set World Gen Seed to use during world generation
  2. Change the World Map Size to your desired size.
  3. Change World Name to force the server to generate a new world. If you want to switch between worlds, you’ll do so here with the name of the world.

  1. Restart your server

Self-Hosting/Other Providers

  1. Open the location of your servers files
  2. Open serverconfig.xml
  3. Locate GameWorld and change the value to RWG

  1. Just under GameWorld , you can find WorldGenSeed . Here you can specify a seed to generate your world with
  2. Under WorldGenSeed you’ll find GameName . Change this to something different to make your server generate a new world.
  3. Save the file
  4. Restart your server
