How to Pre-Generate your Minecraft World

Pre-generating your Minecraft world is a fantastic way of improving the performance of your server. Here is how you can do it on your Minecraft server

Pre-Generating your Minecraft World

  1. Download Chunky for your version and flavor of Minecraft, e.g. 1.21.8 Fabric
  2. Open the AleForge Panel
  3. Make sure your server is stopped
  4. Ensure your server is switched to the appropriate mod loader in Versions
  5. Go to the Files tab
  6. Upload Chunky to the mods/plugins folder. If you do not see a mods/plugins folder, you can make one with the Create Directory button
  7. Go back to the Console page and start your server.
  8. Make sure you are opped by running the command op <username>
  9. Open up Minecraft and connect to your server
  10. Run the following commands
chunky radius 1000
chunky start

Your server will now begin pre-generating all of the blocks in the radius you have set.
